CHASING SOMMER IN MILOS, GREECE
Milos is the island where you go to truly relax, slow down and quietly explore. Hire a car or bike and spend your days jumping from beach to beach, reading a book and revelling in the simple life.
WHERE DID YOU SHOOT?
We were lucky enough to shoot around the pool at one of the most beautiful hotels on the island – Milos Breeze. It’s beyond aesthetically pleasing with clean lines, natural tones and textures and overlooking gorgeous Pollonia. When I was searching for a shoot location for Sommer Swim, I really wanted something luxe that also felt undisputedly Milos. We were so lucky to have found Milos Breeze.
Saskia and I also spent one night there and it was lush! The staff were incredibly hospitable, the buffet breakfast was divine and the pool area is so inviting.
WHERE TO EAT?
For excellent traditional Greek seafood I highly recommend Medusa in Mandrakia, a small but charismatic little fishing village. The food is simple and cheap but some of the best we ate in all of Greece - the gorgeous waiter (who looked like he just stepped off the runway in Milan) recommended the smoked eel and it was INCREDIBLE. If you’re fond of a really good Bloody Mary, Hanabi Sushi in Pollonia is hands down the best – you won’t stop at just one...
SASKIA, WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE STYLE FROM THE SHOOT?
I loved all of the swimwear we shot, but the Xena Papagayo Halter Bikini Top and Naomi Tie Side Bottom were my favourites. They complimented my body type the most, as you can wear the bottoms either high or low cut (I love high). I also love how the Xena Top can be worn multiple ways!
HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP?
This was my first trip to Greece, which made this place extra special. My favourite place would have to be Sarakiniko Beach! This was the place that made me realise wow, I am really in Greece! It had always been somewhere I wanted to go after hearing how beautiful it was. I’m so lucky to have experienced it like this, and with my good friend Carlene (photographer), I wouldn’t change a thing. I am so grateful for this experience! Till next time Greece!
